After a six months wait, my silver 20’ 2018 Roadtrek SS Agile E-Trek finally arrived. Hill and I flew out to Phoenix on Wednesday, Nov 29th and took delivery.

The EcoTrek 8 package is pretty complex so the walk thru took us longer than expected. However, we headed south that afternoon, and, thanks to Hill’s invaluable help driving, we made it home in two days. Didn’t try to sleep in it since we didn’t want to spend the time trying to outfit it fo...

Andrea's Cadillac

A couple of years ago, Hill's wife got very sick from her lime disease and Andrea went to Wisconsin to help take care of her. It was the dead of winter (when we had vowed never to cross above the Mason-Dixon Line) so when she arrived I wanted her to have a car with four-wheel drive to negotiate the snow. Wouldn't you know it. The only four-wheel drive available was a fully loaded Cadillac SUV.

The first adventure was getting it st...

500,000th Visitor

In May of 1987, Nelle, my aunt who had practically raised me as a boy, took us on a tour of England. It was a wonderful trip. We had a mini-bus with a delightful driver who had taken Nelle on previous trips and was filled with wonderful stories. We went all over England, ate tea and crumpets of course, and had 'adventures' at nearly every stop. When we stayed in Stratford-on-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s theatre, we stayed in a sma...

From the moment she was born, Scout was introduced to ‘84BB.'

When we returned a few months later she immediately took charge. She also had found a new friend in Chloe, and the two were inseparable while we were at Hill and Leslie’s farm in Varoqua.

You know when your children are playing and it suddenly gets too quiet? When we went looking for Scout and Chloe they were best of friends, sharing everything!

Dr. Baquero, Endocrinologist

Had a follow-up visit with her this afternoon. Labs show a small improvement so she’s going to keep me on the same medicine as before…Methimazole 20mg per day. Said again it’s going to be a long haul but I will slowly get better and all the symptoms I’m experiencing should slowly subside as I do.

The next 10 days are doctor days. Tomorrow I see my pulmonologist for my annual CPAP follow-up and will...

For those who are not familiar with my health journey, this is a summation up to late October. Start at the bottom and read up for the full history. Expect an update soon.

All health updates will be identified by the caduceus symbol on the left...long identified with healing and health. (Numbers 21:7-9)

Shortly thereafter I had an appointment with Dr. Baguero, whom I immediately liked. Very no-nonsense...

Due to my Graves Disease I have decided it was better for me and the other tour participants if I not go. Too many symptoms and too much weakness. Maybe next year. Frank is leading another tour of some of the fantastic German layouts in April, and Mickey, who owns, is planning a river boat cruise in October. That's the one I really want to take.

After  a poor college college experience following high school she never thought she was smart enough to get a college degree.  Her father would always say, "Why do you need a degree? You're just going to get married anyway."

While we were at Panama City I finally talked her into taking a course at the Junior College. From that moment she fell in love with learning and never stopped.

After we moved back to Dallas, she traveled two hours...

     ABOUT ME

An 80 year old widower after 53 years of a wonderful marriage, I'm going to be off 'yonderin' " My adventures will be pretty much solo or with some friends who love to travel as much as I do. The original  plan was to revisit places Andrea and I loved, and to visit some places we just never got to see. But now circumstances have changed and I'm just waiting to experience the next exciting adventure the Lord takes me on.
